February 4–6 in Washington, D.C., more than 2,000 labor, environmental and business advocates will come together for the leading forum in 2009 for shaping the national debate about investment in clean energy and green technologies.

Join Us for the 2009 Green Jobs Expo


The Green Jobs Expo will showcase the many pathways to green jobs and careers. Free and open to the public, the Expo is Feb. 5, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., at the Marriott Wardman Park.

The District of Columbia will anchor the Expo with over 20 booths to display its efforts to build a more sustainable city. Read more here.

Visit over 85 booths from academic institutions, manufacturers, non-profit agencies, corporations and governmental agencies highlighting interactive and dynamic displays that portray a multitude of career options in the emerging green economy.

The Green Jobs Expo Theater will feature presentations throughout the day on trends and academic programs in green jobs.

What is the Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conference?

From February 4–6 in Washington, D.C. — just weeks after a new Congress and new administration take office — the 2009 Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference will set the stage for stakeholders from across the country to forge an agenda for realizing the enormous opportunities we can achieve by investing in green jobs.   • Prominent national leaders and Workshop Sessions to explore new ideas and exchange best practices;
  •  Green Jobs Expo featuring various companies, academic institutions and organizations displaying green technology or products from manufacturing; and
  •  Green Jobs Advocacy Day – Conference participants head up to Capitol Hill to educate lawmakers about the new, green economy.

2008 Green Jobs Conference

The 2008 Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conference, held in Pittsburgh, was a huge success with nearly 1,000 attendees.

Prominent speakers included U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Richard L. Trumka, Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope, Green For All President Van Jones, ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Americas CEO Lou Schorsch and Center for American Progress President John Podesta.
