The 2011 Good Jobs, Green Jobs conference featured more than 100 workshops covering topics like workforce development, clean energy manufacturing, transportation infrastructure investments, emerging green sectors, worker safety and the financial tools needed to build the green economy.
With more than 13 million Americans out of work and an intensified focus in the media — and among the public — on what is happening to help these people get back to work, we are now bring the Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conferences to a city near you in order to allow more people to take part in the discussion of how we will build a green economy that creates good jobs, reduces global warming and preserves America's environmental and economic security.

Ensuring Not Just Green, But SAFE Jobs
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, 4,547 workers died on the job in 2010. That is 4,547 people whose families sent them off to work thinking it was a day of work just like every day, but had their lives forever changed when their loved one didn’t come home.
