States as the laboratories for democracy? In this workshop, we’ll discuss how Justice Brandeis’ vision is coming true for policies and programs to protect against dangerous chemicals. Speakers will talk about how Maine and other states are passing laws to create their own comprehensive chemical policies, how ten states have joined forces to create their own interstate chemicals clearinghouse and how these efforts affect the possibility of federal action on chemicals.
