Hydro's Future: 700,000 New Jobs

The National Hydropower Association’s recent jobs study concludes that hydropower could contribute 700,000 family-supporting jobs and 60,000 megawatts of renewable energy in the United States by 2025. That’s enough to serve 17 million households - the equivalent of all homes in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago combined. This panel represents a variety of geographic and vocational experiences from all areas of the hydropower industry, providing an informative discussion on the future of hydropower from all perspectives - policy, generators, manufacturing, and education.
