Find out how Kaiser Permanente, one of America’s leading health care providers and not-for-profit health plans serving 8.6 million members, is helping to build the new green economy. Kathy Gerwig, Kaiser Permanente Vice President for Workplace Safety and Environmental Stewardship Officer, and Loel Solomon, PhD, Kaiser Permanente’s Vice President of Community Health, will discuss the accomplishments and the challenges in Kaiser Permanente’s stewardship of environmental and occupational health across the organization; from the choice of medical devices, building materials and energy use, to waste and workplace injury reduction, all the way to farmers markets at their facilities.
