The Role of Property Service Workers in Green Cleaning and Recycling

From reducing energy use through day-time cleaning to making recycling work to reducing the use of hazardous chemicals, SEIU property service workers are uniquely affected by and positioned to effect change in the environmental practices at commercial buildings. This presentation will describe the efforts of SEIU members to push for these improvements through legislative action and collective bargaining, and how they can be expanded to other industries.
