How Much Energy Efficiency is Available in the Industrial Sector?
Workshop Session I: Tuesday, May 4, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Concentration: Greening the Manufacturing Sector and Other Industries
This session will examine the energy efficiency potential and available options for a number of the nation’s most energy-intensive industries (steel and iron, cement, chemicals, refineries, etc.). It will explore some of the latest data from DOE, McKinsey, and academia, and introduce a new website “LessCarbonMoreInnovation,” which provides one-stop shopping for current data in this area. The session will provide insight from industrial assessments, providers of industrial solutions, and highlight success stories.
