Social Investment: Capitalizing the Green Jobs Movement

Concentration: Business, Investment and New Markets
Philanthropic institutions and other social mission organizations are providing critical investment in the green jobs movement. They fund organizing and advocacy, research and development, business expansion and sectoral strategies to transform local labor markets. Beneficiaries run the gamut from labor unions to community groups and from private employers to government agencies. This panel will convene a diverse group of national leaders in the social investment community who are helping capitalize and scale green jobs, careers and markets. They will discuss current practice, emerging trends and opportunities on the horizon.
