Workshop Session III: Tuesday, May 4, 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Concentration: Greening the Manufacturing Sector and Other Industries
Green energy generation is already underway in the United States. This workshop, with representatives from the Utility Workers Union of America and the AFL-CIO, will explore the development of green energy generation already underway, why and how it must be accelerated. The workshop will also explore how the work in this developing industry is performed and compensated. Finally, the workshop will explore the role of unions in pushing for the development of green energy in the United States.
